The almost last Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix
There are a plethora of reasons to publish this blog post and these images. None of them are to do with anything important or life changing.
As the title have given away this post is about the 2024 Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix. It has taken place since 2001 although not kept at the exact same location for all years. But recently there was an announcement that there will be no more Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix. This is not surprising, but sad news. The fitting title for this post and fitting content would have been “Images from the last Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix”. But two problems arise:
- I have no pictures from the last Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix as that was last year 2025.
- I have no pictures from it as I was not there.
But what kind of World would it be if access to the right content would keep me from saying something?
Another reason for posting these images now is that I have finally decided to purchase yet another Nikon Zf. I have been back and forth over the decision so many times trying to decide whether I should buy a Fujifilm X-Pro3 again or the Nikon Zf. Last year I had both, but one had to be returned as it broke (X-Pro3), the other I sold. Selling it was easy as I did not “gel” with it. But now that I have levelled up my editing skills and have been going over old Nikon Zf files I can really see a use for it. There is more “latitude” in the files and they are just always sharp! Never missing focus on the thing I wanted to focus on. So within a few days I will hopefully have a Nikon Zf again and the 28mm f2.8 SE lens that I used most frequently last time I had it.
I may be committing a more or less serious crime by sharing pictures of one of the most beautiful cars ever made without actually including the full car. But nevertheless here are 3 images of what every car nut should have spotted - at least by the second photo - the Jaguar E-type. I will come to my own defense and say that I find the coupé extremely beautiful whereas the convertible just does not work as well for me from an aesthetics standpoint. It does make it easier to take photos of the interior though.
